I am offering for your consideration and bid: An old 1881 Rand McNally Indexed Atlas of the World, Historical and Descriptive. The atlas is in need of a new home and some tender loving care, that is to say, some repair. The covers are loose and the binding is in poor condition. Some of the pages in the front ragged. The Introduction is present along with the table of contents. The indexed pages with map locations in the book are present. The maps appear to be all present. I have not turned and looked at every single page but it looks to be complete. It is a sad shame that the covers are loose. Before the auction, they were attached but at the time the item sold, the many potential bidders had opened the fragile book and that's when the damage occurred. If you have the knowledge on how to restore an old book like this, maybe this is right for you. The 12 supersized pictures will have to tell the rest of the story.This was purchased at an estate auction.
