From the Dorchester Ma Walter Baker Co Ltd which was established in 1780 this is a beautiful soft cover 1909 Recipe Cookbook with Chocolate and Cocoa Recipes by the famous Miss Parloa and Candy recipes by Mrs. Janet Mckenzie Hill. As pictured the cover and back are beautiful, great condition and colorful.64 pages, the last page being the scene of the lady serving the deserts.The inside pictures are gorgeous high quality color chromolithographed plates of many of the recipes.In the middle of the book are color plates of the famous Chocolate girl,2 premiums one for a 1/2 lb pkg of chocolate and 1/4 lb pkg.Also a color plate of a can of La Belle Chocolatiere with the famous Chocolate Girl. This is loose but in excellent condition. The forward of the book tells the history of chocolate as well as the medicinal qualities. We all know chocoloate is good for you.Can't live without it.Some of the recipes are Cocoa doughnuts,Rose chocolate creams, chocolate jelly,snow pudding, merinque.Ts just to many to list.In great condition, the back page and a folded corner and small tear.Does not distract. Book is tight with no writing on pages and except for norma age coloration has no damage. Measures 6 1/2 x 4 in.Buyer to pay $4 shipping. International buyers to pay actual shipping charges.
