Up for auction is an old 830/1000 sterling silver bowl. I have not been able to find a silversmiths mark.It is hallmarked 830 on the outside near the rim. Most often 830 denotes a Scandinavian origin. The design is of the Russian Imperial double headed eagle. T is a specter in one claw and a crowned ball or globe in the other. Above the heads is a crown with a cross. the center of the bowl curves inward. T is a scalloped motif surrounding the center. The design has been impressed and can be felt in relief on the bottom. T are no dents or dings to the silver. T are some light scratches that may or may not come off with polishing. The dimensions are 3/4" tall by 4 and 3/4" across the top. The silver is light in weight but sturdy and strong. It will not bend easily. Please visit my other auctions for more vintage treasures and many thanks for looking!
