NOVELTY CLOCK Advertising INKWELL

Description:

Presented for your consideration is this beautiful old Advertising Novelty clock inkwell. Made to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Pipe Company, DEMUTH. This clock is very uniquely designed, having two figural pipes, one displayed on each side. The open ends of the pipes were used to clean the pen tips. Under the face of the clock is an eagle with its wings spread wide open holding a shield in his talons with the pipe companies initials, "WDC". Next to the shield are four coins. Below that, is the inkwell. The lid of the inkwell has embossing which reads, "Wm DEMUTH & CO. N.Y.". T are markings on the front of the clock base that read "GOLDEN 1862 * 1912 JUBILEE". T is a shield on the back of the clock which reads, "Made by the art metal works Newark, N.J.".

Product Size & Condition:

Clock is in very good, all original condition. The inkwell still retains the original glass insert. Clock does not run. The case is in nice, solid condition, with no breaks or cracks. Measures approximately 8" Wide by 6 " tall. The inkwell door opens and closes well.
