OLD AMERICAN GREEK KEY CUT GLASS COMPOTE 1850-1860

Presented is a quality American cut glass compote. The body of the compote is decorated with a Greek key design and a pattern of stars. The bottom of the bowl is cut with a series of dots, and the shaft is cut in panels. The pontil mark on the bottom of the base is cut in the form of a star. The compote was made in the 1850s or 1860s, probably in America.

The overall condition is excellent. The compote has one or two very minor chips, but nothing that is very noticeable. It rings like a bell. T are no cracks, no hairlines, no sickness to the glass, no breaks, and no repairs.

The compote measures 8 inches in diameter and 7 inches tall.
