Old Antique Sa'dan Toraja Warrior Necklace "Tora-Tora" The Tora-Tora necklaces were made of wild boar teeth and tusks attached to a piece of wood with wickerwork. Ordinary Tora-Tora necklaces that worn by Torajan Warrior , consists of seven wooden pendants on a cord and separated by small bone spacers, this unique Tora-Tora necklace which were belonged to Torajan King or their descendent "Madika" consists of nine or more wooden pendants. The two outside pendants have boar tusks attached by plaited rattan binding. The remaining pendants have a boar's tooth attached with similar binding and have faces carved on the front side. Tora-Tora necklace symbolise the wearer masculinity, fierceness, and invulnerability to attack. Before war , the Torajan people " Sa'dan Toraja " has a ritual war dances called " ma'randing" and Tora-Tora necklace was part of a highly stylised war costume (Nooy-Palm 1979: 195). Male dancers outfitted themselves in brass versions of water buffalo horns (signs of prestige and of success in warfare) and wore Tora-Tora around their necks to declare the wearer status.
