^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Original Antique Violin! I am offering a wonderful Antonius Strad reproduction made in Germany. This violin belonged to my grandfather who played for the Grand Ole' Opry.. His name was Carter Rushing...he died about 12 years ago...This violin was purchased before I was born...I'm pushing 50! Soooo it's pretty old... The name of his band was The Blue Grass Review... His picture is in the Country Music Hall Of Fame...... This is one of several violins and the only one I am allowed to sell... He left this along with several others to me when he passed... I am clearing out my life and helping my daughter pay for college...I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I sold this one... It has miles and miles on it... This was his touring violin...although he referred to it as his "fiddle" and he was known for his rendition of "The Orange Blossom Special"... He was a great man and a special person! The case is a hard case...looks to be covered in leather...is very scratched and worn...The antique buckles work and the lock still works although I don't have a key. The inside is a velvet material which shows extreme wear and tear but is still good...The handle is secure and holds the weight of the case with the violin enclosed.....t are two compartments within the case for keeping extra strings and resin...The bow is antique and in read more
