~ This auction is for an actual antique wooden trinket or jewelry box with a center Stunning & still beautiful Victorian print of a mother & child by a lake with a swan (at the bottom of box) w the little girl is holding her hand out to it ~ This was my granmothers- mothers & she believes it to be around late 1800's, we are unsure of the exact age but we know it is very old & is in excellent condition for its age (see pictures) *I am not an expert on the age of this box * so please bid accordingly ~ Box has pleated pink material inside & outside of the box, what looks to be brass metal hinges in the back & a pretty decorative hinge in the front ~ The inside bottom of box, which is the flat part, has a half circle mounted piece, which I imagine is suppossed to hold something- just do not know what it was used for- jewelry of some sort perhaps- or possibly a holder for a pen- <<<<< do take note that part of this half circle is loose or the edge is broken, but you cannot tell unless you touch it.>>>>>> It still stays in place but I am sure it is delicate- the material in that place is not torn or messed up- it is just old material. The whole top part of this box is what raises up when you open it- it is sort of unusual in its shape- the top part is also round not squared & the sides of it are arch shaped (see pictures) ~ The Very bottom of box has a black leather like bottom (could be leather?) & it is all worn around the edges because of age * The edges all have wear on the papered part but no broken pieces (bottoms of box corners are slightly worn) ~ Please e-mail me if you need to see more pictures of this beautiful wooden box ~ Box is in great or actually excellent over-all cond for age This is an actual antique (Vintage) wooden box ~ so be aware that it has an old smell to it inside The measurements are 8 3/4" long x 4 1/3" wide x 3" deep ~ Colors are still vibrant for its age & the pink material inside is actually in really good shape also- I beleive this to be an actual production because of its age, but I am not an expert on this old of an item & I cannot ask my great grandmother (unfortunately), but this box is surely to be a treasure for someone who collects this type of vintage items ~ ***All items will be packed securely for ship*** Please ask any questions you may have about this auction & I will do the best to answer them This has a low starting bid so Have FUN ~This item is "SOLD AS IS" & I have alot of antique/ vintage items I will be listing in the next few weeks~ t are some really old cigar boxes that my grandma wants me to list for her so please watch for them if you are interested (I know some people were making purses out of these) Paypal will ship immediately * Personal check will delay ship until it clears my bank* & I also take money orders/cashier checks ~ Shipping on this will be a flat rate of $5 by regular mail ~ & Thank you for viewing this auction Check out my other items !
