This auction is for a rare Archimedes (Rheinhold Pothig Glashutte i Sa.) calculator. The machine can add, subtract, divide and multiply. A mechanical marvel. T are more gears and levers then one can imagine in one machine. It is in fine working condition even though I don't know how it works. T is a bell inside that might work like something on a typewriter. I saw one on ebay a while back that was a little different. I think mine is the first model. This one has 98% of the original paint. The other was polished. This one is all original. The front has a decal with the word "Archimedes". On the right hand corner t is some paint loss. On the came corner is a rectangular box that says "COLTS CALCULATOR" London Manchester Glasgow. The calculator looks to be German. The top is heavy brass and most of the gears are brass. The sides are iron or steel. On the back the owner has scratched their name and state ( as seen in photo). Measures-13 1/4" W x aprox. 5" H. X 7 3/4" D Condition: All original. All in working order- 98% original paint-Nothing broken. A fine piece of technology and a masterpiece of workmanship to add to you calculator collection. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT MY AUCTION. ANN B.
