Very, very handsome little Austrian micro-petitpoint (about 55 stitches per linear inch = 3,000 stitches per sq inch) embroidery picture, ca. 1920. Beautifully framed in an old European gilt & gesso wood shadowbox-style frame, as shown. AGE: A vintage estate piece and I would date both the embroidery and the frame ca. 1900 - 1930. CONDITION REPORT: EXCELLENT condition. Fine patina of age as shown and NO damage, missing pieces, or repairs. The pics are very honest and show the conditoin well and you won't be disappointed in the condition of this piece in real life versus what is shown in the pics. SIZE: Image opening for the embroider is 3"x3". Frame measures about 9.5"x9.5" overall.
