Safe Old Vintage Antique Brass Lock Steel Cement Located in Erie, Pennsylvania 16502-2508 This is and acquired safe that came with my house. I would guess that it weighs between 400 and 600 pounds. The walls are 6 inches thick in steps and the door has two locking bars on the hinge side and three locking bars that slide into place on the handle side. The inside box is 20 high by 15 width by 13 ½ deep all in inches. The outside of the safe is 38 inches high by 27 inches high by 25 inches deep. The dates on the safe all are in the middle to late 1800's and has the name "Sargent & Greenlay" Rockchester NY on it as it appears to me. The inside locking mechanism is brass and sort of etched or scrolled like they used to do on old guns and firearms. Look over the pictures well and I have more pictures at your request. I do have the combination and it's a good thing to because it's an odd lock to open but it does work well. Sits on wheels that are 4 ½ inches in diameter and the wheels cannot be removed very easy. This is a very impressive safe but it's been in my garage for more than the 18 years that I have been and I have no use for it and can't even get it into my home. It has to be fireproof but I do not know about water proof. The paint is peeling and the front decals are just about readable. Needs to be - refinished. Everything on read more
