Offered for auction with no reserve is an original antique letter opener with advertising for BALL MASON fruit jars. It has marked on the blade "BALL BROS. GLASS MFG. CO , MUNCIE, IND.". The handle is very fancy and a little different than the usual type seen. It has the embossed Ball Mason jar under a view of a few buildings and oil platforms. The reverse is a fancy flower and grape design with a fancy edge all the way around it. It appears to be a silver plated item and has light wear and a good point and shows only a little scuffs and scratches. No breaks or cracks and is 6 5/8" long. No maker's markings, but would look great next to your old mason jar collection! Please let me know if you have any questions and the high bidder only pays actual shipping cost.
