Wonderful original Victorian period hand carved wood Black Forest wall shelf. c.1890. This beautifully carved and detailed Black Forest wall bracket has a chamois (Alpine mountain deer) carved on a rocky outcrop, t are wild mountain flowers and behind the Chamois is an alpine tree and foliage. It is a decorative and fine quality piece and would have originaly been used for displaying candlesticks or perhaps a clock. It is a fine example of Black forest carving and is in good condition. It measures8 inches or 20 c.m. tall and 7 inches or 18 c.m. wide and 4 3/4 inches or 12 c.m. deep. Postage to the U.S. & Aus. is $18. Postage in the U.K. is 3.00 U.K. pounds or $6. Europe is $14.
