Sometimes I get very excited about the things people bring me to sell. This was one of those times. It's rare that people bring me bronze statues or tropies. Consequently I started researching the name and voila! Jerry Richardson, owner of the Carolina Panthers AND he had received a boy scout award. Then people started asking me questions so I started investigating a little more and backtracking from my customer to the original owner of the piece. This piece belonged to Jerry Richardson (duh) and upon his death was given to his younger sister. His sister died at the age of 103 two years ago and her daughter is selling things from her mother's home so that she can move into the home. That's all I know. The engraving on the piece would indicate that it's an older trophy or statue by the styling of the letters. It is bronze and it's an old boy scout. The boy scout motto is molded into the piece around the base of the boys feet. It's heavy as bronze is, and measures 11" tall including the base. It says on the plaque: "SCOUTER JERRY RICHARDSON 20 YEARS SERVICE" Feel free to ask questions. Buyer to pay shipping. Items will ship as soon as payment is received.
