Entered at friendly price. is a vintage Navy military ship's alarm/bell .. probably from the Vietnam years. THIS ALARM IS EXTREMELY LOUD. This one is in good working condition .. the electric line is a non standard addition because this is marine salvage .. you will probably want to arrange to have some sort of in-line on/off switch because it turns on the moment you plug it in, the way it is wired now. The brass bell housing part has been stripped of paint .. the rest of the mounting housing still has military grey marine paint on it as seen clearly in the photos. It stands 5 1/2" high/off the bulkhead when mounted .. the diameter is generally 8" across .. weight is 11 pounds net. This type bell has a powerful piston (see photo #5) that hammers the bell multiple times per second. See the manufacturers plate in photo #6 for electric information and manufacturer name. If you are looking for something to irritate everybody in the vicinity ... if you are looking for something to give your mother-in-law a heart attack right away ... or if you just want a 'firm signal' on the water that tells people in your way that they are about to die if they don't move NOW ... then this .. has to be the device of your dreams.
