Old Southern Potteries 3 Gallon Butter Churn Up for sale is this really nice old stoneware crock butter churn. It measures 34" high to the top of the stick and 15 3/4" tall to the top of the crock. Most likely came from one of the more southern potteries. It is a super neat one with loads of character! Very different! It has a round applied loop handle and then an eared handle for easy dumping of the churn. It is marked 3 under the eared handle. It is in overall good condition. No cracks that I have found. Has a couple of minor chips as shown. The lid was at one time replaced with one someone painted an old green and has an old stick for a dasher. These "primitive make do's" really add for a great extra added character! A super nice looking early churn to add to your collection!
