You are viewing an old picture frame which measures the following; 28 X 25 1/2 inches outer measurement. 23 X 20 1/2 inches inside measurement 24 X 21 1/4 inches measurement for canvas insertion. It is a French style Louis XIV frame. It has never been altered or restored. A great deal for the person who has knowledge of frames. After putting it on auction I took it to the frame shop and found it is actually is wood carved and topped with gesso and gold leaf.
