I just love old labels! Like this one that has a 50+ year old typographical error on it. The label reads Cay Canyon rather than Clay Canyon! Anyways, this is a 50+ year old specimen of the uncommon lapidary material Variscite from one of its best localities. The nodule measures 5.0 X 3.9 X 3.2cm. Good Luck! Well, Iam into summer mode right now, I'll be out of town from June 14th -18th for family graduations. T will be some trips to the Benitoite Gem Mine, but I'm not sure how many I will attend as I have a pretty good backstock right now and it gets plenty hot up t during the summer. I'm also getting more organized with my website and will soon have a number of rare gemstones, Gem Mine specimens and fine worldwide mineral specimens up for your viewing pleasure. My next show is August 3-5th in Nipomo, California, the Orcutt Gem and Mineral Show.
