Hocking Glass Co. produced this Old Colony pink Cookie Jar between 1935 and 1938. This pattern is also referred to as Lace Edge or Open Lace. This is the bottom of the cookie jar only – no lid. Except for two small chips on the outer edge of the lace rim and slight roughness on the inner rim edge, it is in great condition and so very pretty in this transparent pink. The chips are really not that noticeable without taking a closer look. I’ve included a top-view photo as well as enlarged photos of the 2 chips. If you like the ‘bubbles’ that appear in lots of depression glass, you’ll love this one, as it has numerous bubbles, but you do have to hold it up to a light to really see the bubbles – you cannot see this when it is just sitting on a shelf or a table. This Old Colony Cookie Jar measures 5 1/8” high and about 6 3/8” wide. The diameter of the opening is 3 7/8”. This beautiful and very shiny cookie jar can also be used to display marbles, buttons or other small collectibles, or fill it with those pretty little decorated soaps or cotton balls and use it as a powder room accessory. We do not charge a handling charge. Actual shipping costs from zip code 64129 will be added to your order.
