This old copper apple butter kettle was found in a quaint little antiques store in historic Harrisville, WV. It measures approximately 19" across from rim to rim and 12" tall. The wrought iron bail stands an additional 9" above the kettle. The bottom of the kettle is marked "The Randolph Clowes Co, Waterbury, Conn". The kettle's bail is slightly pitted, but that adds to it's charm. The kettle is overall in good condition, except for the two holes in the sides and some dents and dings. My husband, the master plumber, says he can repair the copper by braising it. (for a small additional charge) The bottom is sooted from the many batches of apple butter that simmered over a fire. The kettle has a concave bottom for sitting in a fire or on a stand (not included). This is an well used, old original and is sold "as is". I only ship inside the United States and I only accept paypal. My kettles are all about 9 gallons, filled about to the rim with water.Important Note - I had a member tell me that these are not copper kettles, but they are made of spun brass. I thought they were copper due to the verde gris patina on the inside, but it is true, they are spun brass.
