this is an old fairbanks brass grain slide scale used in a old country store to measure grain weight looks like 65 lbs per bush.i tried to show how it was used in the picture it was hungfrom the one hook the grain bucket hung from the other and when the bucket was filled the brass slide would show the weight.it is marked fairbanks on the brass slide and stamped 38 into the brass in three places the bucket handle the brass slide and the scale. does have lite denting and scratching as expected.
