I am not sure what this tool is. It came for a tool box from an estate and was assembled like you see it in the photo, but I am not sure if that is the right configuration. It resembles an old Ajustable Iron Scraper Plane that I found on page 45 in a 1926 Sargent tool booklet that I have for sale in another auction. The handle screws into one of the round pieces and if you loosen it you can adjust the angle of the flat metal piece. The two wooden handles look like they are made of mahogany, but not sure. The only marking I could find is ' Craftsman' on the long handle and 'Made in USA 107.1' on the metal ferule at the end of the long handle. The ferule does have a split of about 1/8" w a fastening rivet enters it. It measures about 9 ½" long as pictured and about 5" wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the wood and looks to have been used very little. The long handle does have what I would call crazing in the finish though. Buyer to pay actual postage with insurance optional. I charge no handling fees.
