Fantastic Find - Would Make a Great Gift for the Steamship or Railroad Collector! This is a large pitcher made for Eastern Steamship Lines and topmarked as such (logo documented in Barbara Conroy's Restaurant China Vol. 1 p. 163). It measures approximately 7" from spout to handle and 6-3/4" in height. See the picture with the hand holding it to get a better idea of the size. This rare surviving pitcher was made by O.P.CO. Syracuse China with a date code that looks like Q-7 (July 1936) - it could be "C" (1922) "G" (1926) or "O" (1934). T is also an impressed "26" under the glaze. It is intact with no chips . T is a hairline as shown in the pictures and light age marks on the rim and bottom, as you would expect with a vintage piece. The handle is intact with extra bonding of its top to the pitcher body so it wouldn't crack off. The glaze has a nice shine to it. The border pattern and logo are in green. The border pattern was named Ravenna by O.P.CO. Syracuse, and was also used on Southern Pacific dining china (SP-12 in Dining On Rails p. 249). Morse consolidated six
