is an El Camino Real California Mission Highway Bell in nice condition. The only negative I see is that the post is somewhat loose, and although it wobbles a little on the base it sits fine and rings nicely. It measures 9 7/8" tall. The bell shows discoloring and green from age as shown in the photos. The bell itself reads: 1769 - 1915 El Camino Real. The sign on the post reads: El Camino Real San Diego - Los Angeles - San Francisco. Around the base are the words: El Camino Real The Kings Highway Mission Bell Guide Post. Etched on the bottom is: Design patented Aug. 10 1914 Mrs. ASC Forbes
