Very handsome vintage English Sterling Silver sugar shaker of classical form. Well marked with the full English sterling hallmarks, including the Lion Facing Left (for Sterling), the Anchor (for Birmingham Made) and Date Letter (i) and a Maker's Mark (rubbed, best I can do is W + another letter over an L). Marks hard to photograph, but they can be easily read in person. I include the best pic I could get and I unconditionally guarantee that this piece is fully marked, exactly as stated. A vintage piece from a very good Dallas estate and it probably dates to the early 20th century (no Monarch's head among the hallmarks). Unconditionally guaranteed authentic and vintage and your money (less shipping) cheerfully refunded with **no questions asked** if you buy it and don't agree after you see it in person (but you aren't going to be disappointed). CONDITION: Stands slightly crooked on its base from one viewpoint (see pics). It came to me that way and I never did anything about it, but I imagine this would require only a quick trip to the jewelry repair shop or the silversmith for a couple of whacks with the proper type hammer to fix. Also, one small ping near the base that is barely worth mentioning. Otherwise perfect in all the ways that matter. NO disfiguring scratches. NO problems with the holes in the lid. NO dings or dents. NO monograms or removals. Lid fits securely, not loose and comes on and off fine. The pics show the condition well. SIZE: About 8" tall and weighs about 6.5 ounces on my kitchen scale and it would be considered a large sugar shaker. NO RESERVE and a very low start and the pics tell the rest of the story.
