Morgan Estate of La Jolla, California Asian Art collection, group acquired this month from an elderly couple who bought fine porcelain and bronzes, etc extensively over the past 52+ years until recent years in China, the East Coast and European cities. antique Chinese solid old ivory kwan yin or guanyin figure on stand we are told is ming 17th century with age undetermined. measures 9" tall. beautiful! high quality like netsuke, menuki, tsuba, satsuma or chinese carved jade or porcelain. amazing face and expression and flowing embroidered textile robes depiction in Ming dynasty style. antique, over 100 years old guaranteed. minor wear and remnants of glue on base easily removed, sold as found. great rich honey patina acquired over the decades.
