Old French Sterling Repousse Purse Mirror / Compact!!

Gorgeous old French sterling silver repousse purse mirror or compact from my grandmothers collection. This lovely and functional compact has a wonderfully detailed village scene all unfolding under the bows of a huge old tree. On the right t are either two women ministering to a man in a chair or thats the local bar. In front t is a woman pushing a man in a wheelbarrow who appears to be holding a mug of ale. To the left t is a man with a tall hat adressing a crowd from a platform. One man is sitting on a horse and a dog is rummaging around looking for scraps. In the background t is a tower from a castle visible above the trees. The outside of the rim has two rows of beads with scroll work in between. Lovely repousse craftsmanship and fascinating detail. T is a lovely time acquired darkened patina which I will leave intact any polishing will be up to it's new owner. The compact measures 3 inches in diameter and is 3/8 inches thick. The hinge is in excellent condition. T are no dings, dents, scratches or monograms. The only noticeable flaw is a hairline crack at the front rim which can be seen in the photos. The hallmark is partially gone but whats visible is possibly Z I L A 900. The mirror has a beveled edge and is in excellent condition. T is a removeable mesh insert for the bottom to hold powder, and it is in very good condition also. A lovely accessory for your purse or gorgeous on your vanity.
