Three inches long with the wrapped leaves extending about 3/16" on either side of the shaft, this is an exquisitely designed and executed sterling silver pin. The back features a sturdy hinged pin - extending almost its entire length - and a fully functional safety clasp. It's sterling, it's Georg Jensen & Wendel and it's fully marked. 2 8 7 / Sterling / Georg Jensen & Wendel (and a tiny mark that I think is for the designer) / Denmark / 925S. This mark indicates that this pin was retailed in Copenhagen from 1945-1951. The piece is heavy - about 9 grams - and remains in essentially perfect condition (the pin shaft is slightly bent but connects to the clasp securely) and way more than ready to wear.
