Up for bid is a darling rather large german bisque piano baby of a little girl in bonnet with a dog trying to sneak a bite of food from a plate sitting in her lap. This old bisque piece is very finely detailed as only you'd find in quality German pieces. Her clothing is soft in pastel pink with a square-neck collar and all trimmed in gold. The neckline, sleeve cuffs, and bottom fringe are all "dotted". Her brown hair is sculpted and finely detailed as are the facial features of both the food plate and dog. Measurements are: 8" at its tallest point, 5" at its widest point, and about 6" deep. Overall condition is excellent - I can find only 2 questionable areas - the "something" she holdsin her hand was probably supposed to be a fork or spoon but is broken off just above her fingers and only because it feels a little rough. Otherwise, it looks like it should be that way. And t's a very small firing crack in the fold ofher hat on the back. I mention it for accuracy because you can't see it unless right on top of it.This piece will make a fine addition to any collection of German bisques,piano babies, or old dolls.
