This unusual flask has a glass bottle that is encased in metal. The colors and graphics on this piece are truly awesome. The heart on the back lifts up so you can see the scenes inside and the lid has a man holding up a mug and sitting on top of a barrel. The man has a small hole in his left hand so he may have been holding something at one time. I have no idea what the writings mean because they are in German (and well, I don't know the language). It has four shells, I believe they were added on, that act as "legs" so that the bottle can be stood up. It measures about 9 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide. This great old piece is sold as is... it has signs of wear and age and the metal case gaps a little on one side. Please feel free to email any questions before the end of the auction.
