A Wonderful GiftFor All Elephant Collectors DESCRIPTION Old, porcelain elephant figurine that is probably an early Royal Dux or German in origin; it has the same look and feel of many others like this that I have seen and that were identified as made by Royal Dux. Pinprick chip on one ear - hardly noticible. Size: 5" Long by 3.5" High. Buy this elephant for yourself or your Elephant-Collecting Friends and Relatives!! Makes a Great Holiday or Birthday Gift! Provenance: This elephant and all the elephants in my eBay store are from the collection of the Arthur Provencher, owner and operator of the famous Benson's Wild Animal Farm (AKA Benson's Wild Animal Park) in New Hampshire. The Park was open from 1927 thorugh 1987 and was owned and operated by Arthur from 1979 to 1987. It had over 500 animals and all sorts and rides and other attractions. It is now closed. Arthur has over 4000 elephant collectibles and I am helping him sell his best elephant collectibles. Most of the elephants listed from his collection are vintage or older; Arthur collected in the 1950's and 60's and 70's. This elephant is beng sold by Michael Don Knapik, author of Everything Elephants: A Collector's Pictorial Encyclopedia and owner/operator of the companion website.
