Vintage Porcelain and Pewter German Regimental Lithopane Stein

Horse and rider finial

Shows battle scenes, leaving loved one, and Kaiser Wilhelm II.

One scene says Wenn Dragoner attakieren Mukdersturk ste Feind verlieven

Marked on bottom in blue is a crown and what looks like the letters AK with the name "Kaisco" with the numbers 483 D and 21

Around lid are a shield with crossed swords, helmet, cannon, and the words Reserve Hat Ruh.

From the Internet I found the following:

Reservists reported to their units in early October and the training was provided by the unit. After the duty tour was accomplished, the reservist returned home in late September. This system of reporting as a class and leaving with the same group lent itself to the concept of purchasing active duty remembrances. Regimental steins were one type of souvenir with the names of the reservists listed. Steins were ordered from military shops in the area around the garrison town or through the representatives of stein manufacturers. Normally ordered in the spring, they were delivered in early September, just prior to mustering out. The average cost approximated a month's salary for a German private of that period. The period of popularity extended from the mid 1890s until the onset of World War I.

Condition

Good but Damaged. As you can see, the head and lance are missing on the horseman. Buying AS IS All other details are in very good condition. Might be a collectible. Please check the pictures and determine for yourself.
