ANTIQUE TUBULAR FIRE EXTINGUISHER -TME HARDEN-clear glass-empty

This is an antique tubular glass grenade style Fire Extinguisher. It measures anout 17 inches long by 2.5 inches in diameter and is a solid glass cylinder. Front side molded into the glass reads"TME HARDEN", then a logo between which is a STAR enclosed inside a circle and then " TUBULAR GRENADE". T is also a leaf design below the word grenade. The bottle is machine molded glass and the molding marks are visible on each side of the bottle as are some tiny bubbles in the glass.

The base is a convex outward dome, so this would not be self standing unless contained in a holder. The top is narrowed like a soda bottle with a rim lip. The bottle holds a cork and at one time, t was a seal above the cork which was held in place with a piece of wire which twists around the neck of the bottle.

Condition: Bottle is excellent; fairly clean with a bit of foam residue stuck inside. The rim of the bottle is chipped off in 2 places, but t is no damage to the neck and no chips or cracks in the glass bottle. The cork remains in the bottle: it is brittle but easily removed from the bottle neck.
