Look what I found this time - in back of my closet! Apparently I last looked at and rewrapped (in newspapers )these opaque shades back in 1982..... This auction is for all the shades (4) you see in my pictures, 3 small ones and one large one . Meas urements for the small shades : 5½" high, diameter about 3 3/4" at the bottom, 2 1/8" across the top. Measurements for the large shade : about 12" in diameter, about 10" opening. Approx. 5½" high. The shades are like milk glass, shiny smooth on the inside, frosted very smooth satiny feel on the outside. All the shades have a great pressed design (a band about 2 inches high) in an amber color, please look at the pictures. The large shade also has an amber color design on the bottom. I believe these types of shades would be for ceiling fixtures that were used during the 20's. The large one would fit into a ring or be suspended with clamps from chains. The only picture of a similar fixture I could find searching on-line was called "Laddington Court" - it looks really nice! All fixtures are in very good condition . Only one of the small shades has a chip near the rim (see pict.) and I believe that would be covered by the clamp. All shades could benefit from a good cleaning.... One picture shows the nice soft glow of the shades when I held the shade under a lamp. Any questions - please
