You are bidding on an exceptional example of 1950's rustic Americana furniture. The bed is made of native Indiana Hickory. The Hickory has been completely skinned and is barkless. This is a double or full size bed. The bed was made in Edinburgh, Indiana by the Columbus Furniture Company, which is no longer in business. Due to the limitations of picture quality on ebay, you cannot truly appreciate just how exceptional this piece is. We are more than happy to email additional photos to you at your request. The bed is very sturdy and in good shape. Of course, after nearly 60 years of use t will be some noticeable scratches and indentations. This adds to the personality of the piece. The headboard has wheels, the foot board does not. T are two splits in the wood on one of the foot board legs, which are shown in the pictures. The bed has four pieces, head board, foot board and two side rails. The head board is 58" wide and 36" high. The foot board is 58" wide and 24" high. The rails are 77" long and 6" high. The slats are just under 58" long. Be sure and check out the other hickory pieces we have listed.
