Hand Crafted Hopi Coiled Native American Basketry Kachina Design Plaque Created from Gatd And Dyed Native American Plants Circa 1910 - 1940 12 inches in diameter by x 1/2 inch deep Condition; Good! - About 1/3 of the rim-edge-coil stitches have worn off, and the color has faded a little more on the front than on the back. Description; This is a mystical old Hopi basket with a dramatic and beautiful appearance. The design looks like the "Salak Mana" (Shalako Maiden) a Zuni kachina that sometimes visits the Hopi Mesas Most baskets of this type come from Second Mesa on the Hopi reservation in northern Arizona . This basket is from a New Mexico Estate. Shipping can be combined on multiple items if feasible. Satisfaction is guaranteed. Buyer pays shipping and a 10% restocking fee, if the item is returned.
