Hopi Wicker Native American Indian Basket - Multi Colored Designs No Reserve Currently, I am having a major sale. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, this sale should not only please the loved ones in your lives, but also the discerning collectors. As always, my auctions start with a .77 opening bid and no reserve. This original basket is 100% guaranteed, as described. This basket was the "highlight" item from Judy Johnson's (President of "Unexpected Treasures") latest estate sale. Fortunately, I was one of the first people inside of the sale, allowing me the opportunity to purchase this fine piece of Hopi history. If you are unfamiliar with Hopi Wicker baskets , I have included the following from /~hcpo-p/arts/bas1.htm#table1 : "Hopi basketmakers are some of the finest artists in this medium in North America. Today, while many Pueblo peoples no longer weave baskets, Hopi women continue a centuries-long tradition of basketry. They are also innovative artists, developing new methods and designs from traditional ones. Red, yellow, and black are the usual colors skillfully arranged to produce katsina, animal, blanket, and geometric designs.
