Outstanding, pure and simple. The birdseye backgammon section has inlaid stars along with every point being inlaid as well, with what I believe to be a classic mix of maple and walnut. T are several tight old shrinkage lines, but the playing surface remains smooth and tight. Along the outer rim, miniature cribbage is inset, set apart from the borders on all sides with the slimmest of inlaid edges. The inlay on this board is fantastic, original and complete. The outer side of this folding gameboard is equally interesting, with 28 inlaid stars surrounding the checkerboard field, including two that meet perfectly at the folded spine. The edges are molded with shaped corners adding to the attractiveness of this board. T are also a total of 12 borders if you look closely that frame the playing surface. Beautifully executed, this board is clearly a step above the ordinary. While the interior is in nicer condition, the outside has wear, scratches and a tight check I've never attended to, as they just attest to the authenticity and in no way affect the game. Although when closed it looks like the ends show a little warping, the board lies flat with no issues when open. Just gorgeous in color and design with a smooth, silky feel to it. Size is 18" long by 9" wide when closed, 18" by 18" open. Please see my birdseye maple bowl as well. Buyer to pay exact shipping and insurance, but no handling fees nonsense. I always try to find the least expensive shipping. I accept paypal, money orders and personal checks, but all personal checks must clear before shipping.
