Old Italian pair silvergilt giltwood altarstick lamps

This auction is for a pair of Italian wooden lamps fresh from a local estate. They are probably 1940s in the style of much earlier 1700s altarsticks. They are quite a good size at 24 inches for the wooden section and about 37 inches to the top of the wooden finials. They each sit on three feet that are about 8 inches across. The overall condition is very good with a few chips on the feet w the wood and gesso are visible and a few minor age related cracks. They are in good working order and each one has an old plastic on/off switch on the cords in addition to the switch at the socket. ( one of the switches on the cord is white and one is brown ). They are stamped Made in Italy on the bottom. It is getting very difficult to find these in pairs in such good condition and this is a great find for a decorator.
