DETAILS OF ITEM This is a Japanese marquetry cigarette dispenser box that measures 4.25" by 3.5" by almost 2" high. The designe was all done in a marquetry technique called "Yosegi" and it was made in the Hakone region of Japan. T is a hidden sliding door that reveals a compartment w the cigarettes are added. Upon opening the dispenser, one cigarette magically appears and a holder extends to hand it out. The area at the base use to keep an ashtray but it is no longer present. The age of this piece is from the 1960's and it is in very good condition.
