Old Japanese Makie lacquered comb set. Approx. comb size is 1.28 X 3.5 inches. Approx. kougai size is 0.4 X 6.5 inches. It very beautifully depicts 9 flying cranes on the comb and 10 flying cranes on the Kogai. T are several vermiculation on both comb and kogai. When I look at the flying cranes on the set, it gives me calm, warm and very good feeling. Cranes symbolize longevity in Japan. Good Luck and Happy Bidding !! I set my reserve very low.
