This is a LOW opening BID, NO RESERVE auction for a 5" long closed KABAR USA, 2-BLADE TOOTHPICK FISH KNIFE, 1128 pattern. This is one of nicest examples of a vintage FISH KNIFE that I have seen in some time. This is from a recent estate I purchased, t is some slight sign this knife has been carried but other than that and I see NO sign that it was actually ever used! Look at SUPERSIZED photo #5 of the inside of the backsprings, I couldn't believe how clean it was when I saw it! Both STAINLESS blades are FULL and have their ORIGINAL high polish with just a small amount of blade rub on the front of the main blade! You can even still see the MAGNETIP etch, out on the end of the scaler blade in the first SUPERSIZED photo! And by the way, the BLADES 'SNAP' like the 'old' proverbial ALLIGATOR, both ways! The yellow handles are still fresh looking, NO SHRINKAGE or WARPING, NO PIN CRACKS! The red Kabar seal in the handle shows just the slightest little bit of wear and the hook sharpening stone doesn't look like it's been used either! The Nickel Silver bolsters show very light signs that it was carried. And checkout the Backsprings too, they're almost like brand new! The liners are brass and has a center liner seperating the blades.T is no box, just the knife, the way you see him! But still a pretty 'NICE KNIFE' considering it's from the read more
