Take a look at this Old Kunlun Jade Pair of Birds . Worthy of any antique collection, these rare and haughty little birds know their place.... at the top of the Roost! Please notice the details this artist hand carved into this pair of figurines. Like maternal twins they're hard to tell apart; yet, each has its own special appeal. I've been looking for a while and it is rare to find them in a pair. I have a special interest in Kunlun Jade. Milky white and glossy, age seems not to have any damaging effect on it. Also, with the Olympic Games in China this year, 2008, the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winners will find a ring of Kunlun Jade worked into their medals! The mountain range has an average altitude of 4,500 meters above the sea level, and peaks crowned with snow. According to ancient Chinese fairytales, the mountain is home to immortal beings.
