is a LARGE VINTAGE PORCELAIN "Mobilgas - SPECIAL" Sign which measures Twelve and one-half (12 1/2) inches across the top and Thirteen and one-quarter (13 1/4) Inches from the top to the pointed tip at the bottom. It has the familiar RED MOBIL PEGASUS at the top of the sign and has the maker of the sign: "McMATH - AXILROD DALLAS" right above the bottom tip on the sign. This sign has been in my personal collection for about twelve years and was purchased from a MOBIL OIL DEALER's Collection which was going out of business in the North Texas Area. T is some porcelain loss on the Right Side below the protruding Tip and also on the bottom right by the protruding tip - but it is in the boundery and does not detract from the overall look of the sign. The Red-Navy and White coloring is still BRIGHT and BEAUTIFUL. I do not know the exact age of the sign - but the "Special" brand and Having the maker on the sign should tell you more about the age of the sign. This is a HEAVY PORCELAIN sign. I tried to show you a picture of the back of the sign to show the age. It has the original four metal grommets on the sign for easy displaying. This should be a MUST-HAVE for the MOBIL Collector!
