LOW RESERVE! Please see my other ebay auctions for more vintage airplane models. You are bidding on a HUGE, totally original, METAL, vintage Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Travel Agency Airplane Model. This RARE aircraft model is all metal and measures approximately 27 inches long with a 29 inch wingspan, which works out to approximately 1/50 scale! The ORIGINAL LIVERY is for Iberia Airlines (Iberia Lineas Aereas Expanolas) and depicts an L-1049G Connie, registration number EC-AIN, the ship "Santa Maria," which crashed after an attempted go-around at Tenerife in the Canary Islands on May 7th, 1965, which makes this model over 43 years old! The paint and decals are all ORIGINAL and are in UNBELIEVABLE CONDITION for a propliner model this old, with very few dings or chips anyw but in the typical spots on the nose radome and on the bottom of the fuselage w the model sat on the stand. T is a small hole neatly drilled in the top of the fuselage (please see pics). This hole probably held an Iberia pennant or flag when the model was on display at a travel agency or Iberia office back in the 1950's. No stand, though I am selling
