This is for a Vintage Old Mystery Chicago North Western & MilwaukeeRailroad Silver Cup . Please see the scans for details and condition. They have been enlarged and enhanced so you can see everything. Came in and it obvoiusly is from the CN&M rail line but what was it used for? The only writing is on the bottom and it says Pat. March 20, 1906, Reed & Barton, Silver Soldered, 46, C. & N. W. Ry. Whether it is sterling or what I have no idea. It weighs in at 3 3/4 ounces troy, is 2" high, 2" wide at the widest part, and is 1 1/2" at the top. Was it in the dining car and if so what for - toothpicks or matches or cigarettes or what. I used to watch the "400" train pass by going fast from Chicago to Minneapolis in 400 minutes. The scan of the bottom has an Civil War indian head cent for size comparison only and it is not included with the cup.
Please see my several other coin auctions. Shipping in the US is $4.50 plus insurance if you wish and multiple wins combined to save on postage.
