Unglazed bisque type material. Neriage, nerikomi, colored clay, applique, agateware, millefiore, millefori design. Neriage is a handbuilding technique w patterns of colored clays are pressed into a mold. Unusual coloring with pastel green, blue, grey with marbled brown. Thin quality construction. Japanese Banko Ware vase (info given to me by an ebay collector). It was purchased from an antique dealer in 1974. Circa 1920s-40's. I haven't seen this type of art pottery before. Label on the bottom looks like it reads "W.W. Kan.3". Height: 4 1/4". Eight sided body. Manufacturing firing shrinkage hairline at the tip rim.
