I admit to knowing little about Nippon pieces. Please read the description carefully before you bid and ask any questions that you have prior to bidding as well. I tried to locate the mark in my books but was unsuccessful. The mark looks like a horseshoe and says Hand Painted and Nippon. T is a design in the center of the horseshoe but I cannot interpret it. Size: about 10 1/2" tall. Condition: I don't see any cracks or chips. T is gold paint loss on handles and rim. The base foot is dirty. I'm sure that the piece is porcelain rather than pottery. The designs near the rim and the flowers are outlined with raised applied lines. The background is sort of a foggy gray look. No designs on the back at all. The gold on the base edge does not go all around the vase. Only on the front of the piece. I see some crazing, mostly on the back rather than the front of the piece. T are imperfections like firing pin dot glaze blowouts in a few places. The front is much better than the back of the piece. I will add a digital of the back. T is one spot on the back w some of the paint used on the front attached to the back. You should be able to see that spot in both the second digital and the third. If you have questions, please ask before you bid. PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL I SEND AN INVOICE. This piece weighs 31.2 oz. I estimate that it will ship, packed read more
