Reads "STRAPHANGER" from OLD NEW YORK SUBWAY CARS on brass metal plate on front. These straps with white porcelain handles went into use around 1930 on the subway train cars. Upper is marked ' RICO TYPE 16A PATENTED '. In e xcellent vintage condition, wooden plaque looks great & is ready to hang. Measures approximately 20" x 5.5".
