I like the size of this little old oak barrel. Built to last. It measures about 18" long, about 10" in diameter and it sits about 10" high on little metal legs that are part of the straps that hold it together. It has a screw out brass cap/stopper on the top that pulls out on a chain and t is a little brass spiget on one end. The edges of an old paper label remain on one end but no words. It has a nice oak bale handle on the top. I think it's in very good shape. It would benefit from a good cleaning and the straps are a little loose from lack of moisture to swell the wood a bit but looks nice-no problems to report. Buyer pays shipping and suggested insurance for 18 pounds from New York-zip 12569. Thank you. I was asked for a picture of the spigot and when I was taking pictures I realized that the threaded piece on the side of the barrel is more of a plug. It does not have a hole to let any liquid out. So I assume that the piece I have is used to transport and to release any liquid you would have to attach a spigot of some kind. The opening size is 3/8". I'm going to try and add 2 pictures right now to show you.
